SavvyRecipe for Success™ #6:Win More Listings with Property SavvyCards

Why use SavvyCard to help win listings?

Winning listings is the key activity in making money in real estate. At its heart, real estate is a numbers game. The more people you reach out to, the more opportunities you have to set listing appointments. The more listing appointments you get, the more listings you win.  The more listings you win, the more homes you sell. The more homes you sell, the more money you make.  But it all comes back to winning listings!

Winning more listings is about reaching out to prospective sellers and then differentiating yourself; they want to know why they should list their home with you and how you are going to service them better than the competition.

Showing your prospective seller your SavvyCard for Agents™ and Property SavvyCards™ mobile web apps and then explaining how you’ll use them to market and sell their home demonstrates you are a technologically savvy agent with the right modern tools for helping them achieve their goals.

Follow these 4 simple steps to find more sellers and convince them to list with you:

1. The first step in winning listings is to reach out to new prospects and make listing appointments.

Share your SavvyCard to people who live in areas where you want to win listings.  You can use a mail client like Mail Chimp or Constant Contact, with a link to your SavvyCard and include a message such as, “Contact me for a complimentary report on your home’s market value!” to reach out to new prospects.   (Check out this SavvyCard blog post for instructions on Sharing Your SavvyCard.)

2. At your listing appointments, show your SavvyCard to your prospective seller and explain how you use your SavvyCard to sell homes faster by reaching more buyers.

Tell them all the different ways you share your SavvyCard to homebuyers:

“I connect with more buyers because I share my SavvyCard by email and text to everyone I meet, and I share it through social media, reaching more potential clients through my friends and contacts.”

3. If you or your brokerage upgrade to SavvyCard for Agents™ Pro, you can show sample Property SavvyCards™ to your prospective seller and explain how you use Property SavvyCard to sell homes faster.

Tell them all the different ways you share your Property SavvyCards to homebuyers:

“I use Property SavvyCards to share all my listings with potential buyers through email or text, on outdoor signage, in all my print advertising and through all my social media channels!”

4. You can purchase SavvyCodes™, and show how you have integrated them with traditional marketing channels.

Tell them all the different ways you use SavvyCodes to sell your listings faster:

“I use SavvyCodes to share all my listings with potential buyers through all my advertising opportunities, such as outdoor signage, flyers and print advertising.”

That’s all there is to it!  Once your prospective seller sees all you are going to do for them with SavvyCard, you have upped the chances they’ll decide to work with you instead of another agent or decide to sell their house now instead of the future. If you have any questions on this process, just reach out to our super-friendly customer advocates at (727) 502-6012 or text TRAINING to 72889 to schedule your FREE, one-to-one training.

SavvyRecipe for Success™ #5: Find Listings Faster and Easier with Your SavvyCard

In this SavvyCard Recipe for Success, we are going to show you how to find listings faster and easier than you can with your native MLS app. You’ll be amazed how awesome your SavvyCard® is at helping you – and your customers! – find the perfect listing.  Ready? Then let’s go!

Why use SavvyCard to search MLS listings?

You probably use an MLS search app that was created by your MLS to access their data, and that’s a great tool for accessing REALTOR® -only information when you’re on the go.  But when you need to do a quick MLS property search to find property basics, and more importantly, when you want to give your customers the ability to do quick searches (and point them to your listings in particular), SavvyCard is the better option!

ANY search done through your SavvyCard appends only YOUR contact information to the property search results, so anyone doing an MLS search through your SavvyCard will only be able to contact you if they are interested in a property, even if you’re not the listing agent.

Follow these 5 simple steps to find listings quickly and easily with your SavvyCard:

1. Find and launch your SavvyCard Mobile App on your phone or other device.

If you need a refresher on finding your SavvyCard, check out this SavvyCard blog post for details.

2. Tap the Share button to send your SavvyCard to your customer.

Once your customer has your card, you can search the integrated MLS listings with your customer, in person or on the phone, showing them how responsive your SavvyCard’s MLS search is.

3. When your customers find a property they like, have them fill out the simple form at the bottom of the listing details.

All requests that come from a search conducted on your SavvyCard come directly to you, so you can follow up with the listing agent, make appointments, and schedule showings.

4. When you take a customer to a showing and they like the neighborhood, but not the home itself, use the GPS-based MLS search from your SavvyCard to find matching homes nearby.

REALTOR® Bonnie Strickland made a $2 million sale because she was able to show a client all her listings in just a few seconds, while they were standing in a driveway. (And don’t just take our word on it, view her testimonial video, too).

5. If you have SavvyCard for Agents Pro solution instead of SavvyCard for Agents Basic your search always begins with a focus on your Featured Listings: your own listings and those of your brokerage.

In addition, you can use this list to quickly access property information in order to quickly show people what you have available.

That’s all there is to it!  Quick and easy MLS search, embedded right in your SavvyCard!  If you have any questions on this process, just reach out to our super-friendly customer advocates at (727) 502-6012.

You’re getting savvier by the day, my friend! Stay tuned for the next SavvyRecipe for Success coming your way soon. Until next time!

SavvyRecipe for Success™ #4: Get More Customers by Integrating Your SavvyCard® with Other Marketing Channels

Welcome to SavvyRecipe for Success #4: Get More Customers by Integrating Your SavvyCard® with Other Marketing Channels. You’ll be amazed how awesome your SavvyCard is at helping you sell property.  Ready? Then let’s go!

Empower Your Current Marketing Efforts

Do you find that traditional advertising channels, like print (magazine and newspaper advertising), outdoor (for sale signs, billboards), online (websites) and others (direct mail/one-off promotions), come up short providing the quality leads you are looking for?

If so, integrate your SavvyCard into your current marketing efforts, and consistently drive more engagement with quality customers and motivate them to connect with you.

Follow these 4 simple steps to integrate your SavvyCard with other marketing channels:

1. Integrate your SavvyCard Web address.

When you activated your SavvyCard, a Web address for your card was provided automatically. Use that URL in all your print advertising and business cards to drive users to your SavvyCard. This provides leads with your most up-to-date contact information, and an MLS search that brings any requests or inquiries directly back to you. Your SavvyCard Web address will look like this:
www.savvycard.com/your-custom-web-address

2. Integrate your SavvyCard mini card.

You can create a mini version of your SavvyCard to embed on your Web site, in your email signature, and on your Social Media postings- so your brand is stamped on every interaction. The mini card provides basic contact information, and functioning just like your SavvyCard URL, it can be linked to drive customers to your SavvyCard itself.  For detailed information on generating and embedding your SavvyCard mini card, ring up our super-friendly Customer Advocates (727) 502-6012 who are always happy to help!

3. Integrate SavvyCodes

SavvyCodes are an optional upgrade to your SavvyCard account that associate “text-back codes” to your personal and Property SavvyCards. Text back codes are associated with your personal SavvyCard so that users who text the code to a shortened phone number receive an automatic link to your SavvyCard or Property SavvyCard.  (Try it here: text HOME to 72889.) An Agent SavvyCode can be integrated with any print materials you create, and Property SavvyCodes work great on signage associated with a listing, such as “For Sale” signs or billboards.

Incorporate SavvyCodes into your listing!

4. Integrate your SavvyCard anywhere and everywhere!

Your SavvyCard can act as a virtual “hub” for all of your marketing channels. By integrating your SavvyCard URL, Mini SavvyCards, and SavvyCodes, you can be sure that anyone who wants to reach out has the access needed to connect with you and your property listings.

SavvyRecipes for Success #2: Get new leads by sharing through social media

Generating new leads through social media is not hard, but it does take some planning and a little bit of daily attention. Doing so can significantly up your chances of catching the attention of a wider range of potential clients. In this SavvyRecipe for Success™ we introduce a simple yet effective way to share your SavvyCard® and Property SavvyCards™ through social media.

Watch SavvyCard user and REALTOR® Tom Scaglione discuss the value of taking these steps to grow your business.

How To Share Your SavvyCard to Your Social Media Pages

Before we begin, make sure you are signed into the Social Media platforms to which you want to post. This will allow your SavvyCard to post your card to your social media page or account.

1. Open your SavvyCard or Property SavvyCard™ on your phone or other device. If you need help finding your SavvyCard, just give our super-friendly Customer Advocates a call at 727-502-6012.
2. Tap the Share button on your SavvyCard. Your SavvyCard displays a menu of different share options.
3.Tap Share by Social. Your SavvyCard displays a menu with icons for each of the most popular Social Media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google+.
4.Tap the icon for the platform you want to use, fill out your message, and share to your social media platform. It’s that easy!

*SAVVY TIP: Follow these same steps when sharing your Property SavvyCards™ to your Social Media accounts.

Special Tips & Strategies for Generating Leads on Social Media

1. Post your SavvyCard or Property SavvyCard to your social media page at least twice a week.

2. Ask your friends and contacts to share it to people they know.

3. Don’t self-promote. Instead, offer something of value to people. For example, post “If you know someone who’s curious about the value of their home, share my SavvyCard with them. I can help them figure out what it’s worth.” Vs. “I provide Free Market Analyses!”

*SAVVY TIP: On occasion, it is ok to run a promotion and encourage people to share your card. Offer a reward, like an online gift card, to each person who shares your card to 10, 25 or 50 different people.

4.Give people a different reason to share your card each time you post. For example, in Post 1, ask people to share your card to people who need to sell their home; In Post 2, to people who want to buy a new home; In Post 3, to people who have questions about the market; In Post 4, to people who need to find trustworthy service vendors; In Post 5, to people who are wondering what their house is worth, etc. Get creative – just make sure you are providing value by fulfilling a need.

*SAVVY TIP: Start a conversation. For example, ask people what they think their house is worth. Once they answer, offer to do a market analysis for free so they know for sure and then send them your SavvyCard.

5.Use the analytics tools supplied by the social media company to see which of your posts are most popular, the demographics of the people who are responding, and when they are most likely to respond (day/time) and tailor your posts around these insights to get the most traction.

6. Check your Card Analytics to see how often people are sharing your card.

*SAVVY TIP: Ask people to share you SavvyCard by using the Share button on the SavvyCard, so it is stored in your Card Analytics database. Shares that are done on the social platform itself will not be recorded in your Card Analytics data.

Once you start sharing your SavvyCard on Social Media platforms on a regular basis, you’ll be pleasantly surprised when inquiries from your network and other people’s networks start rolling in. Like any tool, SavvyCard only works if you use it, so be sure to do so every day! As always, if you have questions, contact us!

In the meantime, Stay Savvy!

SavvyRecipes for Success™ #1: get referrals by sharing your SavvyCard® via email and text

Now that you have an understanding of the anatomy of your SavvyCard for Agents™ mobile app, we are ready for the fun stuff! Hot leads are vital to finding success in Real Estate. In this first series of SavvyRecipes for Success™, we will discuss capturing those important referrals by sharing your SavvyCard through email and text.

(Does it work? Watch SavvyCard user and REALTOR® Tom Scaglione talk about his experiences.)

How To Share Your SavvyCard using Email and Text in 4 Easy Steps (see also diagram below):

  1. Launch your SavvyCard on your phone or other device by tapping your SavvyCard’s icon. (If you forgot how to do this, contact us.)
  2. Once it’s opened, tap the “Share” button. You will see a menu of different share options. Tap the “Share by Email” option.
  3. You will then see an overlay with different fields for inputting information. Start by emailing yourself your SavvyCard so you can see how this function works. Once you email yourself your SavvyCard, email it to your friends, family, clients and coworkers.
  4. Tap the “Share” icon again and this time tap the “Share by Text Message” option. Text yourself your SavvyCard so you can see how this function works, then text it to your friends, family, clients and coworkers.

Make Sharing Your SavvyCard a Daily Habit

  1. Every time you meet somebody new, use the “Share” button to send that person your SavvyCard, either by text or email.
  2. Share your SavvyCard instead of using a business card (or in addition to using a business card). The recipient’s contact information will be saved to your SavvyCard account, and you’ll be able to export that info into your phone or other contact management application and see the time/date of the share. You’ll also be able to see if they refer you and share your SavvyCard to someone else, and often times you’ll get the contact info of the recipient so you can follow-up in real time. (Your business card can’t do that!)
  3. When you share your card to someone, show them how to browse listings using the “listings” button, including how to request showings and info from you.
  4. When you share your card to someone, show them how to share it to other people, so they can refer you to their contacts.

*SAVVY TIP: The more you use your SavvyCard and the more you and other people share it, the more “important” it appears to search engines, and the higher it will be placed in search results.

Once you add sharing your SavvyCard to your daily business routine, you’ll be pleasantly surprised when inquiries from your network and other people’s networks start rolling in. Like any tool, SavvyCard only works if you use it, so be sure to do so every day! As always, if you have questions, contact us at 727-502-6012 or via a SavvyCard!

SavvySchool Basic Training: Learning the Anatomy of your SavvyCard for Agents Mobile App

So far, we’ve shown you how to activate, find and save your SavvyCard for Agents™ mobile app. (If you need a refresher, simply call 727-502-6012 and chat with one of our friendly Customer Advocates.)

Now, let’s learn about the parts that make up your SavvyCard for Agents™ mobile app, so you understand what it is and how it works.

The Parts of your SavvyCard for Agents™ Mobile Web App

1) URL (or website address) – Your SavvyCard for Agents™ mobile app – we’ll call it your SavvyCard® from now on – lives on the web instead of on your phone or computer. Unlike other mobile apps, you don’t need to download and install software to use it. Your SavvyCard has its own URL, or web address. Since YOUR account is unique from other accounts, your SavvyCard has a unique URL. Because your SavvyCard lives on the web, search engines are able to index it and include it in web search results.

*SAVVY TIP: You can find your SavvyCard by clicking here, tapping the members button in right hand corner and entering your name.

2) Buttons – People come to your SavvyCard to DO things: contact you, refer you to other people, search MLS listings, contact vendors you recommend, connect with you on social media, and other things that facilitate business. Each button on a SavvyCard was designed to DO something that is beneficial for both you and your customer.

3) Background – SavvyCards were designed to include big graphics to engage people so they instantly connect with your brand (people are more likely to engage with something visually interesting). Your SavvyCard comes with a background designed by your association.

*SAVVY TIP: You can customize your SavvyCard’s background with personalized branding and graphics if you choose to upgrade your account to SavvyCard for Agents™ Pro. Call us at 727-502-6012 for more info on upgrading.

4) Photo – Your SavvyCard does not come with a photo, but you can get one by choosing to upgrade your account to SavvyCard for Agents™ Pro.

*SAVVY TIP: Photos help form strong, immediate relationships with people, even before you meet them in person. Call us at 727-502-6012 for more info on upgrading.

Getting Familiar with Your SavvyCard for Agents™ app in 5 Easy Steps

  1. Launch your SavvyCard on your phone or other device by tapping the app icon (if you forgot how to do this, contact us).
  2. Once it’s opened, tap the “Call” button on your phone, and then compare how this button behaves when you click it on your desktop computer instead (and/or your tablet, if you have one)*. The Call button is how someone would call you using your SavvyCard.

*SAVVY TIP: SavvyCards are “smart” and know that type of device you’re on so they’ll display different information on different devices.

  1. Click on the “Email” button to open the overlay. This is how someone would email you using your SavvyCard.
  2. Click on the “Text” button. This is how someone would text you using your SavvyCard.
  3. Click on the “Share” button. This is how someone would send your card to themselves or to another person.

*SAVVY TIP: The more you use your SavvyCard and the more you and other people share it, the more “important” it appears to search engines, and the higher it will be placed in search results.

That’s it! Once you’ve done these things, you have mastered the basic anatomy of a SavvyCard.

Keep an eye out for our next blog– it will walk you step-by-step through “Recipes” that teach you how to use SavvyCard to achieve business success.

SavvyTips: How one loan officer uses his tech insights to get new customers and partners

The real estate business is about relationships – relationships between clients and professionals, and relationships among the pros who get those clients into great homes. Ken Travis, Branch Manager of Travis Group-Southwest Funding in Longview, Texas, has a truly innovative approach to making and nurturing those crucial connections.

Ken is a bit of a tech geek when it comes to marketing his services – you can see on his website that he makes great use of social media and video to get his name out.

But the next part is the real genius. Ken has drawn on his expertise to put together a course on marketing technology for REALTORS®, and the course is now approved as continuing education by the Texas Real Estate Commission.

REALTORS® in the Longview area flock to Ken’s classes, where he’s able to give them some great information, but also get to know them. And the next time one of their clients needs help with a loan, who do you think they’ll call?

It’s a beautiful example of how generosity pays dividends. By providing a great free service to his professional community, Ken generates high-quality leads and builds relationships. If you have special knowledge or insights , sharing them can really pay off for your business.

The Relationship App

There’s one particular insight from Ken’s course that’s relevant for PRO members – he features an introduction to the SavvyCard mobile web app, which PRO provides for all of its members, including Affiliate Business Partners.

Ken encourages REALTORS® to make SavvyCard an integral part of their sales and service process, just like he does. “I share the card with each of [my customers], and I show them how I’m doing it. And I say, ‘If you guys have any problems, any issues, here’s the best way to get in touch. You can easily access me personally.’”

His SavvyCard definitely reminds customers just how personable he is.

Then, Ken follows up with a request. “If you’re happy with our services, if you’d be willing to refer me to your family, friends, or co-workers . . .” He shows his contacts how to refer him with his SavvyCard’s Share button. He says most customers are so impressed with him and his SavvyCard that they start sending referrals on the spot.

Ken’s ideas reminded us of just how many ways you can use SavvyCard to help other people out and make an impression. Could offering a SavvyCard class help you connect to new customers? You can contact info@savvyCard.com for support and guidance.
