BEARDSLEY, Carolyn 57, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away August 18, 2017 at Northside Hospital. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, December 1, 1959, and was preceded in death by her father, William J. Kros of Philadelphia, PA. Carolyn is survived by her mother, Mary J. Pomante of Phoenixville, PA; mother-in-law, Karen M. Beardsley of Madisonville, TN; father-in-law, Rick W. Beardsley Sr. and his wife, Anne M. Beardsley of Springhill, FL; sister-in-law, Tammy M. Beardsley of Springhill, FL; sister-in-law, Deborah A. Norris of Madisonville, TN; and her adoring husband of 16 wonderful and joyous years of marriage, Rick W. Beardsley Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL. Carolyn was a successful real estate broker and agent by profession, but also performed as a freelance web designer as a side enterprise. Carolyn had a passion and talent for gardening, which is where you would find her most often in her spare time. In addition to gardening, Carolyn nurtured and raised Monarch butterflies and was sometimes referred to by her friends as ‘Moth Mom.’ Carolyn had a special affinity for animals and plants and would take great care to nurture each one that came along her path if she could. She was also an avid reader of many eclectic works of fiction often picking a different theme to explore each year from her collection of books and publications. Carolyn loved and cherished her two Pugs, ‘the girls.’ Carolyn had eyes that smiled at the world with a very tender heart that was filled with love, compassion, and consideration for those around her. She touched the lives of those she knew and met, the world is a better place because she lived. She will be greatly missed and remembered by those that loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the SPCA of Tampa or your favorite animal rescue organization would be welcomed or online at www. memorial-donations.org.
